Estevan
Arts Council is governed by a 12-member board appointed
by Estevan City Council. It was formed in 1967 by a City
bylaw.
Board meetings are held on the first Wednesday
of each month,
except July and August.
The Council is funded by grants, subscribers,
patrons, fees, and donations.
Estevan Arts Council is an affiliate of the Organization
of Saskatchewan Arts Councils. However, we are always
looking for volunteer members to serve on our board, committees
or as paid instructors for visual arts classes.

Our office is located at the Souris Valley Aquatic &
Leisure Centre.

Wednesdays, 9am - 1pm & 1:30pm - 4pm
Each year, you will find us at the CITY
WIDE REGISTRATION - late summer/early fall. In the Souris
Valley Aquatic and Leisure Centre.

SERVING
THE COMMUNITY
The 12 member volunteer board of a not for
profit organization, along with numerous other volunteers,
offer quality concerts, art classes and workshops, adjudicated
art shows, and youth art scholarships:
Koncerts
for KIDS
promotes the arts by providing entertainment for the young
and young at heart.
STARS
for SASKATCHEWAN
promotes the arts by providing entertainment for all.
VISUAL
ARTS PROGRAM
promotes the arts by offering classes/workshops in drawing,
painting, pottery, photography, stained glass and the
list goes on! We also encourage you to "let us know
what you would like to learn" and we will do our
best to bring a class to Estevan.

The annual Adjudicated
Art Show offers emerging visual artists and
craftspeople the opportunity to exhibit their work, participate
in informational and hands-on workshops and to develop
skills through participating in critiques with professional
artist/adjudicators.
Further information and entry forms are available at the
EAC office in the Leisure Centre. People's Choice
Award is another facet of the show and allows
the public to view and pick their favourite piece of artwork.
Pre-registration is required.
ART SCHOLARSHIP
PROGRAM
In
the spring of each year, art scholarships are offered
to students in grades 7 to 12 to assist them in their
pursuit of further training in their chosen art field
(drama, art, music, dance, etc) at a summer arts camp
or workshop. EAC is thankful to Beta Sigma Phi Sororities
and Meyers Norris Penny LLP for their support in this
area.
The Estevan Art Council gratefully acknowledges the assistance
of the City of Estevan, Organization of Saskatchewan Art
Councils (OSAC), South East Connection Sport, Culture
and Recreation(SECSCR), Saskatchewan Lotteries Trust Fund
for Sport, Culture and Recreation, Canadian Heritage and
